Engineers have made a new tiny DelFly Micro air vehicle. This successor to the DelFly I and II weighs barely 3 grams, and with its flapping wings is very similar to a dragonfly. Ultra-small, remote-controlled micro aircraft with cameras, such as this DelFly, may well be used in the future for observation flights in difficult-to-reach or dangerous areas.

Scientists have created an instrument designed to help determine the shapes and sizes of tiny ice crystals typical of those found in high-altitude clouds, down to the micron level (comparable to the tiniest cells in the human body), according to a new study. The data produced using this instrument likely will help improve computer models used to predict climate change.

How would you like something for free?

I thought so!  I just found this website that gives away free headsets for your cell phone.  With so many states enacting laws requiring us to use a hands free cell phone, this could be a real bargain.  These things are cheap anyway on Ebay, but this website is even better, so I thought I’d share it. 

Facts though indicate that using a “hands free” set while driving actually does nothing for safety though. Did you know that?  It seems that studies are indicating that it is not the one hand off the steering wheel that is causing a safety problem.  It is more likely the fact that your attention is distracted from the task of driving, by having a conversation with someone on the phone.

What this tells me is, we all need to talk less while driving.  Just try it.  Try to relax while driving and let it be a time to think . Maybe listen to music. 

Anyway, get your free headset for your cell phone. Free is good!

Space physicists report that the Voyager 2 spacecraft, which has been traveling outward from the sun for 31 years, has made the first direct observations of the solar wind termination shock, according to an article in the journal Nature.
